[00:05.97]I 'd like to begin by briefly introducing the services
[00:09.17]we offer here at our centre.
[00:11.84]First of all, we have a wide range of language courses.
[00:15.85]In the first semester, we run an eight week Conversation Class
[00:19.72]for students of non English - speaking backgrounds,
[00:23.48]who wish to improve their fluency, grammar and pronunciation
[00:27.56]in English.
[00:29.16]The course is held on Tuesdays between 12:30 and 1:30.
[00:34.45]So, that's one hour once a week.
[00:37.33]Please enroll with the secretary before Friday this week.
[00:41.74]For those of you who are interested in developing your
[00:44.33]writing skills,
[00:46.04]we have a six week course which runs for two hours between
[00:49.72]4 and 6 on Wednesday afternoons,
[00:52.69]beginning in Week One.
[00:54.73]It concentrates on the writing skills needed for assignments
[00:58.59]in the Departments of Economics and Social Sciences.
[01:02.95]Students must be enrolled in either of these departments.
[01:07.55]You 're probably not thinking about taking examinations yet,
[01:11.17]but later on, towards the end of the term,
[01:13.87]you might like to enroll in our Examination Skills class.
[01:18.06]The course runs for five weeks and two hours in a week.
[01:22.86]The course deals with the skills you need in both written tests
[01:26.96]and oral examination.
